Ever since the Law Enforcement Agency's have had Dash Cams and Seeing recorded clips of those, I have always wanted to get one so that I would have recorded evidence in case I were rear ended or had a frontal collision.

I love that this camera set can record in HD both Day and night and that it will do loop recording. This camera has a setting called G Sensor and you can set it to Low, Medium and High. What it does is in case of an accident, it will lock the recording so it cannot be over written. Apparently this Camera could support a GPS unit plugged in so that it would record your location, but the manual didn't make any mention as to what the COM port is for.

On display screen you can select from Front Camera, Rear Camera or Picture in Picture. The device powers on when it receives power from the cigarette lighter adapter. If your cigarette lighter port does not turn off, you will have to power down your unit yourself. The downside to the power adapter is you can only use it to power the camera. In my testing you could use a multi-port USB charger and then use a USB to Mini type B cable and the unit will power on just fine.

I also like that the video is date stamped and can record the audio if you set it up to do so. It will also show you the License Plate, Although I have not been able to test that function as of yet.

All in all this is a really nice duel camera setup. There are 2 cons that I see with this system and they are as follows:

1. The power adapter should have had at least an Additional USB port so that you could charge your phone while driving or they should have just provided a dual USB power adapter and provided a USB cable to power on the camera.
2. The manual is lacking details. No where in the manual is any installation instructions, you are pretty much left to figure out how to install both cameras. Also there was no mention as to what the COM port was used for.
